1. I understand you’ve worked with a lot of attorneys. How does your work with them differ from that with other entrepreneurs?

It doesn’t really. Whether alone or in a law firm, attorneys are business people responsible for their own bottom line. Like all entrepreneurs, they have goals, time issues and more.

  2. I’m a business person. I think in terms of ROI. How can I measure results in my language?

Results are as unique as the business and individual.

When we begin, we define the outcomes most important to you. Your bottom-line goals for the organization. The goals connected to how the works gets done.  Goals related to how your team works together.  And we set your personal goals and challenges related to work and your career. Throughout our work, we evaluate your progress in these areas.

While we will relate goals back to the business goal, even in areas that cannot be readily measured so easily, there can be clear “befores-and-afters”, sometimes surprising. Some of my clients discovered they manage ambiguity and pressure better.  Some report attracting more of the clients they really want.  And some report a broader focus from solely that of entrepreneur to include the role of leader and everything leadership entails.

  3. What’s the business arrangement?

I work on a monthly retainer, and the details of each arrangement are customized.  Most initial engagement are for six months, because it takes at least that long to make significant changes. And, though there are no rules, I’ve found that clients who have lasting results have made a longer commitment.

I also offer you a way to try it out.  Through a three-session coaching consultation program you will be able to experience coaching, get to know what you can expect from coaching, and decide whether this is the right time for it.

We will discuss your long-term vision and immediate goals.  You will work with an experienced coach and experience the process.  We will look at different approaches, evaluate the results, and identify possible courses for action.   We may, afterwards, work together, or we may decide another approach or coach is better suited for you.  I work with people that challenge as well as connect strongly with me.  I also know a great many coaches.  I prefer and enjoy making referrals when appropriate.
